Director of Tasting Room and Events
Alicia Bastian brings a deep passion for hospitality and over two decades of experience in the culinary and event world to her role as Director of Tasting Room and Events. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Alicia has built a dynamic career in the Rochester and Finger Lakes region, working as both a Chef and Front of House Manager, as well as Director of Events and Banquet Chef.
Her love for food and wine is reflected not only in her professional background but also in her personal life. Alicia enjoys dining at fine restaurants where culinary artistry and wine culture meet, and she especially loves cooking Italian and Mexican dishes at home for her family.
Married to her childhood sweetheart Kevin and proud mom to daughters Emilia and Nikki, Alicia values connection, nourishment, and creating meaningful experiences—both around the table and at the tasting bar. A health and wellness enthusiast, she has participated in Ragnar relays, half marathons, and countless 5Ks.
For Alicia, hospitality is more than service—it’s the joy of watching guests relax, indulge, and create memories in a place that feels like home.
Andrew Cuthbert
Director of Winemaker
Andrew, our head winemaker here at Quarry Ridge in the Finger Lakes, crafts exceptional wines with a blend of science and passion. Holding a BS in Biochemistry from St. John Fisher College and an Enology degree from UC Davis, he left a software career to immerse himself in winemaking, starting as a cellar rat and assistant winemaker in the Finger Lakes.
His lifelong love for wine, inspired by his father’s enthusiasm for tastings from global regions, fuels his innovative approach. At Quarry Ridge, he specializes in small-batch, unique styles, including vibrant unoaked Chardonnay and richly textured barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc, showcasing the region’s terroir.
Outside of the winery, Andrew is an avid golfer, a dedicated reader, a fan of prestige TV, and an enthusiastic home cook, often pairing dishes with his creations.
His precision and creativity establish him as a creative and dynamic leader in winemaking at Quarry Ridge Winery.
